Prenatal Yoga and Wellness Workshop: Saturday, April 16, 12:30-3:30PM

Join Kaydee Dahlin and Sarah Vogel for a workshop featuring prenatal yoga, meditation, nutrition, and postnatal self-care. Moms-to-be will learn how to take better care of themselves with stress management techniques, body awareness practices, yoga poses for labor, prenatal nutrition, and postnatal recovery, all while making connections and building community during this very special time of our lives.

Program: (approximate, subject to modification)

12:30-1:30 ● Introductions and Prenatal Yoga Practice: Center yourself and go inward, build strength in your legs, relieve back and neck discomfort, increase flexibility in the pelvis and hips.

1:30-2:00 ● Prenatal Nutrition: Enjoy healthy snacks while Kaydee leads a discussion on pregnancy and weight gain, essential nutrients for baby, gestational diabetes, diet tips and recipes.

2:00-3:00 ● Postpartum Care: Sarah will lead discussion on how to take care of yourself in the early days after the baby’s arrival, discuss expectations for this time, and share tips and tools to speed recovery.

3:00-3:30 ● Restorative practice and final meditation: Deep relaxation through holding one or two fully supported poses for an extended time. ● Closing circle

All are welcome. No previous yoga experience is required.

About the Teachers

Sarah Vogel: As a mom of a 23 month old son and in her second trimester with her second child, Sarah is a yoga teacher specialized in leading yoga and fitness practices for pregnant and postpartum students at their own level while building community with other students. Sarah has taught Baby and Me and StrollerFit classes for moms and is certified as an Our Baby Class instructor with a postnatal focus.

Kaydee Dahlin: Also a mother to a 2.5 year old and in her second trimester of pregnancy with her second child, Kaydee has also tailored her yoga and fitness instruction to serve mamas and families. Kaydee teaches adult gentle yoga, belly dance, prenatal yoga, baby and me yoga and dance fitness, and kids yoga. She is also a certified health coach by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and creator of the anti-inflammatory diet.
