Have you always wanted to try (or retry) yoga? Come to this weekly Monday night class devoted to meeting the needs of new students. You'll learn ways to release tension and open your shoulders, lower back, and hips and get stronger and more flexible too. We'll also discuss and try out modifications to use when attending group classes.
Here, we teach the "brain science" behind the art of mediation, explore how yoga asana can be meditation in movement, and spend some time in an experiential practice of mindfulness meditation.
In this workshop we explore the philosophy behind yoga practice, demystifying the confusing names, learning basic poses, and helping practitioners become more comfortable with safely challenging themselves.
